Glenwood Springs: What’s New for Summer 2017

Summer in Glenwood Springs is just around the corner and there’s so much to look forward to, whether it’s attending a free concert, busting out of an escape room or being among the first visitors to experience of the most highly anticipated theme park thrill ride in the US. You’re not going to want to miss this!

Haunted Mine Drop. Hold on to your seats. The world’s first drop ride to go underground opens at the mountain-top Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park this summer. You’ll hear ghostly mining tales as you enter the Haunted Mine Drop. When you’re least expecting it, the floor disappears and you plummet 110 feet down inside Iron Mountain. Follow Glenwood Caverns on Facebook for updates on the mid-summer opening date.

Escape Room. Do you have what it takes to unlock the door and getaway? Find out; at the Glenwood Escape Room. You’ll need to be able to solve riddles, uncover clues and crack codes in time to escape Pharaoh’s curse, slip getting nabbed by the cops, or win an ailing relative’s fortune before someone else steals it!

Piano Bar. Well, when you’re in the mood for a melody, there’s no place like the Riviera Supper Club for ragtime, jazz and show tunes. Sing along to Billy Joel’s signature song and other favorites as you sip wine and enjoy your meal.

Melodrama. Hiss. Boo. Swoon. Trouble Bubbles at Iron Mountain Hot Springs is part ghost story, part mystery, part romantic comedy. The new, original melodrama is free to guests at Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park, with shows Friday through Monday at Noon and 2:30 p.m.
