JULY Events in Glenwood Springs
6, 7, 13, 14, 20, 21, 27, 28 Historic Walking Tours at the Hotel Colorado
9, 16, 23 & 30 Glenwood’s Downtown Market lights up downtown every Tuesday from 4 – 8 p.m. at Centennial Park at Ninth St. and Grand Ave. Fresh produce, live music, hot food and artisan booths.
11, 12, 18, 19, 25, 26 Under the Bridge Troll Theater: Glenwood Springs Performing Artist’s Association will coordinate entertainers by showcasing local talent. Performances will be under the Grand Avenue Bridge Thursday & Friday nights from 5:30-8:30pm. Activities include art, dance, theatre, music, magic, & more.
5, 12, 19 & 26 Fridays on 7th, hosted by the City of Glenwood Springs, is held at Bethel Plaza under the Grand Avenue Bridge from 4 – 5:30 p.m. The weekly event includes bands, dancing, kid’s activities, life-sized games and local business specials.
9, 16, 23 & 30 Sunset Sounds at Glenwood Hot Springs takes place Tuesdays from 6 – 9 p.m. The concert series showcases local performers playing a variety of musical genres, from classic and rock n’ roll to blues and soul.
5, 12, 19 & 26 Friday Afternoon Club at Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park features live music and food and drink specials from 5 – 8:30 p.m. on Fridays. The park’s FAC also includes a free gondola ride with a coupon that appears in the Post Independent on Fridays. The coupon is valid for a free gondola ride for up to four people starting at 4 p.m.
6, 13, 20 & 27 Music on the Mountain is a concert series that takes place on the main stage at Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park. Guests can ride the gondola free with the donation of a canned food item for the Lift-Up community food pantry starting at 4 p.m. and music from 6 – 10 p.m.
10, 17, 24 & 31 Summer of Music draws the community together every Wednesday at Two Rivers Park, starting at 6:30 p.m. Bring a picnic or purchase food and drinks from a vendor. Remember to leave glass, alcohol and pets at home.
11, 18, 25 Free 80s Movie Night under the Bridge
27 The annual Cruise-A-Thon is billed as a race for the “Average Joe.” This bike-walk-float triathlon is designed for the not-so-hardcore athlete in all of us! Wacky costumes are encouraged. Invite your friends to this fun event HERE!
26 & 27 16th Annual Glenwood Springs Car & Motorcycle Show starts off with a cruise-in and barbecue at Vicco’s Charcoalburger Drive-In on Friday night. Classic cars and trucks will be on display outside Glenwood Springs High School on Saturday from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
AUGUST Events in Glenwood Springs
Before the kids head back to school, fill the remainder of summer with outdoor adventures, including hiking and biking on Glenwood Springs trails. Remember to make reservations to hike or bike to Hanging Lake.

9-11 Orpheus Music & Arts Festival is a ticketed event that takes place in Two Rivers Park. It celebrates DIY creativity, the great outdoors and sustainable living and includes bands, a treasure hunt and craft beer.

21 Oktoberfest at the Glenwood Canyon Brewpub, in association with Jennetta Howell Theatricals, is a German-themed festival with live polka music, a beer garden, Bavarian fare and kids’ activities. The event takes place outdoors behind the Hotel Denver.
