Sixteen smaller, naturally shaped pools are filled with thermal mineral waters that range in temperature from 99 to 108°F. The temperatures vary from pool to pool to provide guests with a variety of soaking indulgences. A quiet zone surrounding the soaking pools ensures a peaceful, rejuvenating atmosphere. The Sixteen soaking pools filled with 100% pure thermal mineral waters range in temperature from 98 to 108°F to allow you to customize your wellness experience. A quiet zone surrounding these pools ensures a peaceful, rejuvenating atmosphere. The rain showers at the new Cooling Corner, coming summer 2017, allow you to cool off between soaks. The soaking pools are connected by heated walkways to keep you comfortable year-round.
The accessible freshwater family pool with a jetted spa is the largest of the pools. The lower portion is filled with 86,000 gallons of water that is heated to around 93°F; the jetted spa is kept at about 103°F. Parents can enjoy the hotter water while supervising their children below, with the calming sounds of a waterfall in the background as water cascades from the upper to the lower section.
Inside the lodge-style bathhouse, you can buy passes, shop, and prepare for your soak in beautifully appointed locker rooms with private label shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Separate, accessible changing rooms for families and caretakers are available. If you’ve forgotten something or would like to pick up a gift or souvenir, the retail shop sells sundries, swimwear, gifts and more.
When it’s time for a break, the on-site Sopris Café located next to the family pool is just the spot. Dine poolside or under the covered patio, which has zip-down walls and a fireplace to warm you during the winter. The menu includes snacks, salads, wraps, flatbread pizza, smoothies, coffee, soft drinks, beer, wine and pre-mixed cocktails. Drinks and refreshments are also available at the Sand Bar next to the soaking pools.
Iron Mountain Hot Springs ADA Information
Iron Mountain Hot Springs is wheelchair-accessible via a gently curving ramp with a handrail which provides a gradual entrance into the family pool. Two of the soaking pools have transfer walls and grab bars that allow a person to leave a mobility device and transfer onto the wall and then into the water. An aquatic wheelchair is available upon request.
